ample
ample is a hearing aid that fosters closer connections between those who have hearing loss and those who do not. these behind-the-ear hearing aids use bone conduction and sit outside of the inner ear canal, for a natural and unobtrusive feel, and use innovative technologies to respond to gestural movements. ample’s two modes offer the user choice and control over how they interact with their surroundings. focused mode delivers only the sounds of conversation with loved ones who wear microphones, without the distraction of amplified background noise. ambient mode, more similar to a traditional hearing aid approach, amplifies all sounds to a comfortable level. this dual approach addresses the needs of both the user and their loved ones, recognizing how these relationships are impacted by the communication breakdown associated with hearing loss.
